CONTINUING DRAMA AWARD

Commonly known as ‘Soaps’.
The nomination for all the above must have been for the team that was behind the resulting pictures, and include at least three and no more than six people such as Lighting Designer, Programmer, Gaffer, Vision Control, Production Design, Camera Operator, DoP, Best Boy. To be considered by the judges: budget, timescale, creativity, any stated difficulty factors. The Judges have the discretion to move nominations into a different category in order to give the shows the best chance.
All entries must have been first broadcast or published between the 1st of May 2024 and the 30th of April 2025. Broadcast can be on any television channel or non-broadcast or streaming platform and must have made by a production company based in the UK using a majority of UK-based craft teams.
Nominations can come from anyone, not just from people working on the production, and must include a video clip up to ten minutes long for judging, delivered in the form of a free to view link or a video file. Each proposal must include name of proposer, details of creative team, date and source of first transmission or distribution and the name of the production company.
There are two further categories:
NEWCOMER AWARD

This is for someone who has shown exceptional promise in the world of TV Lighting and can work in any role. Nominees must have graduated in the last five years (in or after 2020).
SPECIAL MERIT AWARD
Sponsored by ROXXLIGHT
Anyone or any group of people to be recognised for their outstanding contribution to the industry. It can be for Life-time achievement, or for another achievement or contribution worthy of recognition. This can include other crafts that make an impact on the lighting design and process.
Nominations for these two categories should include contact details of the nominated person or people, and any citations to support the nomination. Entries will be judged on these citations.
